Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about our methodology, data sources, map usage, claiming a listing, and how donations keep Patriot Pledge running.

What is Patriot Pledge?

Patriot Pledge is an independent rating platform that measures how corporate employment practices affect American workers. We combine verified U.S. government records with investigative research into clear, comparable scorecards.

What data sources do you use?

Our ratings draw on federal e-Verify participation records, visa sponsorship volumes such as H-1B utilization, and proprietary on-the-ground investigative research when deeper verification is needed.

How are business ratings calculated?

We quantify domestic hiring patterns, visa dependency, and compliance signals into a scorecard that indicates whether a firm’s operational model prioritizes American workers or shifts opportunity abroad. Full details are on our Methodology page.

Is Patriot Pledge free to use?

Yes. The public database and scorecards are free to browse. Optional donations help fund infrastructure, data analysis, algorithm development, business ingestion, and investigative units.

How do I look up a business?

Open the Patriot Pledge map and tap any business to view its scorecard. You can explore by neighborhood or anywhere in the country without a required search query.

How can I support Patriot Pledge?

You can donate through GiveSendGo. Contributions sustain servers, data pipelines, ranking research, new business coverage, and field investigations. Learn more on our Support page.

How do I claim my business on the map?

Create a business owner account from the person icon, then claim an existing listing or request a new one. After we approve a new listing, we automatically file your ownership claim. Do not use Discover’s “Add a Business” button if you want to become the owner. The full walkthrough is at https://patriotpledge.us/business-owners.
